Naramata Centre has an active and engaged Board
The direction and operations of the Centre and our Society are set and overseen by the Board of Directors. The Board meets four times a year, at Naramata Centre in spring, summer and fall, and in Vancouver or Calgary in the winter. Between the in-person meetings, the Board meets monthly by teleconference as needed.
Our executive team is comprised of chair, vice-chair, treasurer, secretary and communications lead. Board members each bring skills and experience that are put into service on committees, special projects, etc.
Management of the Centre
Naramata Centre operates with a team.
Our Managing Director Susan Smith joined the Centre team in June 2019. Program and Community Experiences Manager, Charmaine Pearce, is in charge of our program portfolio - calling for program leaders, selecting our programs, creating the program calendars, directing community life experience during our program season and more.
Our seasonal Welcome Host provides administrative services in the office - registering participants for our program seasons and providing reception services.
Other staff fill essential roles at the Centre: in Site and Maintenance - Mike McLary, Bookkeeping - Marianne Lumin, Housekeeping - Maria Nemes and Bonnie Peskett.
How can you get involved?
The Board of Directors is grateful for the support of all who are involved with the Centre through participating in our programs and staying on-site in the spring, summer or fall months, volunteering, staying informed through our communications and/or donating to the Centre.
