In addition to our seasonal programs and retreats, in honour of our 70th Anniversary, we are offering a number of reunion options for past winter session and summer staff participants who would like to reconnect.

Frequently Asked Program Questions

Q: How do I register for programs?
A: Review our programs and retreats offered in the spring, summer and fall. Once you have selected your program, retreat or summer week, look for the orange "Register Now" button - it will be on the right-hand side of the page, at the bottom of the list of pricing. Next, you will be prompted to select your accommodation (which will include an option to stay off-site), and then to let us know how many people will be attending with you. If you have selected a summer week, you then have the option to choose any programs that you wish to attend. Finally, we will be asking you some registration questions, and then collecting a deposit to reserve your space.

Program and accommodation registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A deposit of 50% will be taken by credit card at the time of registration.  The balance will be due 30 days prior to the program start. If you register within 30 days of your arrival date, full payment is required at the time of registration.

If you would prefer to continue your registration by speaking to a Naramata Centre staff member over the phone, you can contact us at 250-496-5751. We will respond to your query within the next 48 hours.

Q: How are program costs determined?
A: Programming has been priced comparably with what you would pay for a similar program in your community to ensure the program is sustainable for both Naramata Centre and the program leader. Program costs vary with the length of the program, the materials costs, and the program nature.

Q: I have children; is there programming available for them?
A: Some of our programs will be intergenerational, and some of our programs will be geared specifically to children or youth. If a child or youth is not registered in a program and is staying onsite, parents/guardians are responsible for child care and supervision.

Q: Do I have to stay at Naramata Centre to attend a program?
A: We welcome everyone to attend our programs, whether or not they are staying onsite at the Centre.

Q: What times of day are programs offered?
A: Program times will vary by program. Some will be an hour, some half-days and others full days, the number of days may vary, and programs may be offered in the morning, afternoon or evening.

Q: If I don’t register for a program, will there be other community events I can participate in?
A: We will be providing facilitated community and worship activities that are open to everyone staying onsite (whether or not they are registered for programs) as well as the local community. We encourage active participation in our events and activities, as these help to build community among those staying on site.

Q: What is the cancellation policy for programs?
A: Should participants wish to withdraw from a registered program, they can do so with a full refund, minus a $25 administration fee, up to 60 days prior to their program start date. Program cancellations between 21-60 days prior to program start will be refunded, minus the initial 50% deposit. Cancellations less than 21 days prior to the program start are non-refundable.

The Naramata Centre reserves the right to cancel programs should attendance not meet required minimums for financial viability. Should a program be canceled, participants will be notified more than 21 days before program start time and their program fees will be fully refunded. If a participant also booked accommodation in order to attend a program that is canceled by the Centre, and they wish to cancel their accommodations as a result of the program cancellation, their accommodation will be refunded in full if requested within 3 days of the cancellation notice.

Q: What is a "summer week"?
A: In the summer, Naramata Centre offers 7-night stays, from Saturday to Saturday (except Week 1, which is Friday to Friday). As all guests will be arriving and departing at the same time, our summer weeks allow participants to deepen into their sense of community.

To fully experience the spirit and magic of Naramata Centre, we invite you to join us in our community activities. Start to sink into your week on Sunday and join us that evening as we welcome you into our space, orient you to the week and provide pertinent information for your stay. Monday evening, after everyone is well settled in, you are invited to contribute as we create our week’s activity calendar together. Maybe you would like to go on hikes, bike rides or excursions with others, or have your children/teens join others in games and activities. Perhaps you could experience a drumming circle, enjoy a candlelight labyrinth walk, or lead a group with your special talent. Connect with others in fun activities and make new friends!

Our staff and volunteers are here to help you get the most out of your stay. Campground hosts are a great resource for all things camping-related! Our Community Life Hosts help to plan and organize activities during the week. Office staff are available to sort out logistics of your stay as needed.

So, settle in and enjoy your time at Naramata Centre. Enjoy a program during the day, or take a week to relax. Walk our
labyrinth and visit our Chapel. Do yoga or play on our beach. Jump into the lake. Snooze or read in the shade under our canopy of trees. Sink into community and laugh or sing. Join others in Sacred Pause or meditate. Explore Naramata village and Naramata Bench wineries. So much to experience ... come and discover!
