Note: Fall Accommodation bookings (May and June 2017) are for a minimum 3 nights consecutive stay, with the option to book additional consecutive night(s) to extend your stay. Naramata Centre will be hosting a Hearts and Hands volunteer service event from May 5 to May 12 to get the Centre ready for the summer season. We welcome all who are willing to come and work at the Centre during this time. We suggest volunteers arrive on Thursday, May 4 in preparation for a 9 am start on Friday, May 5. Part of your volunteer service will include cleaning in and out of your accommodations. We will finish work the afternoon of Thursday, May 11, with Friday, May 12 reserved for cleaning and departure.
Are you an individual wanting to know about effective techniques to improve your overall well-being? In this 12 hour workshop topics covered will be life roles, setting priorities, body type, nutritional choices, designing attainable programs, exercise options and much more. Workshop topics will be enhanced with breathing and stretching techniques through simple yoga movements. Wear comfortable clothing and bring your yoga mat.
You will connect to mind, body and spirit through the experience of music, singing, meditation and mantra. The weekend in gorgeous wine country will immerse you in sound - the sound of your whole being. Listening deeply, as you bring your own voice to the land. The ground is our roots, our earth, our connectedness, our right to be here and to be alive. We will meet whatever is in the way of your voice, and welcome it in, to get the most benefit of your experience. Gentle movement practices will assist the flow of energy, along with voice practices to connect deeply into your body with simple sounds and tones. “Your voice is a reflection of your connection.”
What do we learn when we slow down and listen for the Spirit through our bodies, our creativity and the land around us? During this retreat, we will explore three forms of Christian contemplative practice that allow us to explore and integrate new understandings for our journey. You can expect a time of refreshment, healing and deeper awareness through our time together.
Come learn EFT to eliminate food cravings and reduce negative emotions that drive you to overeat. Are you stressed, for example? We will address: beliefs that keep you stuck, negative self-image related to weight, and core issues that drive your behaviour. But it doesn’t stop there. EFT is a stress-reduction tool you will learn to use to address any kind of problem. EFT stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques, often called “tapping” because you tap on acupressure points on yourself. It is based in western psychology and eastern medicine.
