Come relax in good company in Naramata, experience the magic of emergent programming and share in the community that develops when space is left open for imagination. You might be interested in conversation with others over coffee on the lawn. You might have a skill you want to share with others. You may find a few people who would enjoy a day hike in the area, or eat a meal or play a game together. It could be that you will make friendships that will continue but you will certainly find community here while you stay. We will provide a go-to person who will plan an introductory gathering, facilitate use of public spaces and provide information if needed. You are in charge of your activities and the success of your week. Of course, if you know Naramata you will also know that there are always gardening and maintenance jobs to do if you wish to volunteer some of your time.

Healing Pathway Phase One is an introductory experiential course in Christian centered energy healing. The understanding is that all healing basically comes from within. Practitioners are trained to be a heart-centred, loving presence, and to use techniques in an intentional manner to facilitate and support the healing process of an individual, for physical, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual well-being. Healing sessions do not always involve physical contact between the practitioner and the receiver; the practitioner may simply work in the bio-energy field around the body.

WE REGRET TO ANNOUNCE THAT THIS PROGRAM HAS BEEN CANCELLED. PLEASE GO TO THE Fall CALENDAR- September 16-21  FOR another Circle of Trust program

This five day offering will use the format of Circles of Trust (www.couragerenewal.org) and features of a Full Voice: The Art and Practice of Vocal Presence (www.barbaramcafee.com) to engage participants in experiences of deep listening to self, to others and creating community using harmony and dissonance as both metaphor and practice. On one afternoon, Clearness Committees will be held. We will use silence, poetry, song and movement to understand ourselves, our birthright gifts and our voice in the world, with the purpose of enhancing our appreciation of diversity, and committing ourselves to creating a world of welcome and wholeness for all. And we will have fun and make lovely, lively music together using only our bodies and voices. (No previous musical experience is needed to make this a powerful and delightful venture!)

In freestyle weaving “there are no mistakes”. Each family will work collaboratively to explore their artistic creativity and create a woven wall hanging that will represent each person’s individual contributions as well as the connections that they share with each other. The finished wall hanging will be a beautiful and tangible representation of how each family member makes their own unique individual contributions of skills, interests and talents to create a cohesive and strong family uni Since only one person can weave on the loom at a time, there will be lots of related and supporting activities for family members when they are not weaving. Couples and individuals are most welcome to participate and to create a wall hanging that represents them.

Your body talks to you every day, all day. If you listen and support its needs, it will reward you with a vital, pain-free body. If you ignore it, it will send messages of discomfort and pain until you respond. Knowing how to communicate with your body is essential for a vibrant, youthful life. Using the tools provided by the Feldenkrais Method, you will learn how to make lasting changes. You will boost your body’s level of health and well-being, reduce tension and discomfort, improve your posture, enhance the quality and range of your turning and bending. In addition, a book will be available for purchase. Private sessions will also be available for participants to deepen their learning, and address personal movement concerns. Every year the earth offers us hope: just as the seeds planted every spring in the vegetable garden at Naramata Centre turn into abundant produce every summer. We also can be part of part of a story of hope offered to creation. During our time together- through presentations, guided walks, dialogue and other contemplative and nature-based practices - we will explore how we might recognize and bring our gifts to be part of the healing of the Earth. This eco-spiritual workshop will draw on The Greening Exercises based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius and The Work That Reconnects, developed by eco-philosopher Joanna Macy.

Why do I feel like I am never doing enough? Like I have to go somewhere, do something, be someone? Why must I constantly prove my self-worth and strive to achieve or acquire more than I have already? Being Enough is about connecting to our Innate Wholeness. We already are enough and there is not one more thing we have to do to be enough. In order to truly know this we need time to connect: with others, with ourselves and with the Divine Indweller. Through shared experience, we will explore our inner lives and begin to let go of the old belief systems that hold us hostage. Come for a time of retreat. Come away from the daily barrage of stimulation and information. Come for transformative healing and self-care. Come and allow yourself to already Be Enough.
