  • Navigating A Life with Dan Hines

    Ages 18+ | T-W-Th 10:15 am - 12:15 pm | $100

To find our way takes courage and insight, especially in these confusing times. In a trustworthy guided process, we can help each other to rediscover our sense of direction. This three morning experience is for you if you want a guided process for self-discovery; are in the process of making a life decision and seeking inner wisdom; enjoy integrating soulful self learning with poetry, meditation and awareness; value the teaching of Parker J. Palmer and the Circle of Trust lineage; and/or yearn for living with a whole heart and in greater alignment with their true self.

The theme guiding this exploration of navigating life is 'wayfinding'. Wayfinding is the traditional art of navigating the open ocean. Dan is grateful to share his learning over the past years with the wayfinding navigators that have taught him. Through practices that will include poetry, storytelling, visual images, journal writing, mindfulness, and large and small group work, we will be attentive to our lives, listening to our hearts and minds, and letting our personal narratives speak to us. The stories and imagery of wayfinding will guide us as we navigate the complex environment of a human life. Each morning, Dan offers a quiet space for soulful growth and learning. We will have time to reflect, meditate, write, and safely consider what emerges from within ourselves. These ‘Circle of Trust’ practices were developed from centuries of community wisdom. Registration includes the full series of three mornings each week.

  • Sailing Adventures on the Anam Cara with Robyn & Dan Hines

    Thursday 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm | Adults $175, Children 15 & under $75

Sailing is a life changing experience! You will learn how to read the winds, feel the waves, and guide a large sailing yacht into the open waters of Okanagan Lake. We provide hands-on experience with ample opportunities over four hours to explore the movement and decisions that accompany the journey. And it is unbelievably beautiful! The scenery is spectacular, from the many developed wineries on The Naramata Bench to the wild natural areas and parks. Photographers will love it!

The lake is warm and clean. You will love it when we anchor up for a swim or paddle board. It is the perfect experience to spend a day outdoors to create family memories or incredible encounters with friends. We offer more than just sailing too! Explore how to better navigate your life. Learn how to better respond to winds of change. We bring together the skills of sailing and the art of wisdom: ‘sailing with heart’. It is a mix of sunshine, laughter, friendship and also a meaningful encounter. What's included: Paddleboards, PFDs and safety equipment, sparkling water, fridge or cooler space for your snacks and drinks
