Labour for Accommodation
Each week up to 3 one-bedroom units, shared rooms or campsites will be made available for those who would like to work in exchange for reduced accommodation rates. Accommodation rates will be reduced by up to 50% for 2 adults staying in the same unit each working 15 hours for a total of 30 hours. Volunteers will work 9-12 noon or 1-4 pm Monday to Friday. No special skills are required, however volunteers must be able to do physical work such as raking, weeding, laundry or other tasks. Email email@example.com you are interested in exploring this option.
Length of stay
Accommodations will be available from mid-May to Mid-October. In the spring and fall, reservations are for a minimum of three nights, with a discounted rate on indoor accommodations for week-night (Monday-Thursday) stays.
From July 7-August 25, 2018 stays are for a minimum of one week, Saturday to Saturday. From June 29-July 6, a minimum one-week, Friday-Friday stay is offered instead, to take advantage of the long weekend. From August 25-September, flexible stays can be booked for a minimum of three nights; however, higher summer nightly rates will apply.
Checkout is before 10 a.m. and check-in is after 4 p.m. These times must be strictly observed to allow time for cleaning of rooms and campsites after people check out and before new guests check in.
Each unit and campsite has strict maximums for the number of people staying. Extra guests are not allowed, however children under 3 do not count toward maximum occupancy numbers. 1-bedroom accommodations have a maximum of 4 people, 2- and 3-bedroom accommodations have a maximum of 6 people, single room accommodations have a maximum of 2-3 people, and campsites have a maximum of 1 tent or RV plus one vehicle. We reserve the right to limit the number of people in any campsite and the length of stay.
Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. A deposit of 50% will be taken by credit card at the time of reservation. Your reservation is not confirmed until we have your deposit. The balance will be due 30 days prior to your arrival. If your reservation is within 30 days of your arrival date, full payment is required at the time you make the reservation.
Cancellations 60 days or more before your arrival are refundable minus a $25 administration fee. If you cancel between 21-60 days of your arrival, your accommodation fee will be refunded, minus the initial 50% deposit. Cancellations less than 21 days prior to your arrival are non-refundable.
Pets are allowed in Eastside campground, with no more than one pet per adult, to a maximum of two pets per campsite. There is an extra charge of $25/stay for bookings involving pets. Only service animals are allowed in the indoor accommodation. All pet owners must comply with our pet policy:
- Pets are permitted in the Eastside RV and tent sites, and in the designated hitching area behind Creekside Commons.
- Pets must be on a leash or in a carrier and supervised at all times when on Centre property, except while in your RV or tent.
- Pets are not permitted inside any buildings or Creekside Commons, on the beach or beach lawn, or in the Sacred Garden or labyrinth. Exceptions are made for service dogs. If you wish to take your dog to the beach, there is a dog beach in Naramata village to the southeast of the Centre. (Follow 3rd St as it turns into Old Main Road; the dog beach is just past Manitou Park.)
- Owners are responsible for the collecting and the disposal of pet waste. Please respect the Centre grounds by promptly picking up after your pet.
- Owners are responsible for the behaviour of their pets at all times and are financially responsible for any damages to Naramata Centre caused by their pet. Pets that compromise the safety of others will be asked to leave.
