Infuse Your Summer With Community Life

Programs for Children and Youth

Children and Youth programming is available on site from July 15 - August 23, 2004. Tuition is already included in your Community Life fee, but registration is required to secure a spot.

Children at Play

Grades 1-6 | M-F 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

We offer enriching interests-based programs for kids and youth of all ages, where they will make new friends for the summer and beyond.

Our children’s program welcomes and celebrates children for exactly who they are. Program leaders nurture children’s spirits through creative and imaginative play, storytelling, art-making, songs, inclusive games, and more. Enroll your children to be together in community, learning how to sow the seeds of lasting friendships.

Youth Connection

Grades 7-12 | M-F 9:30 am - 12:30 pm

Build new friendships through Youth Connection during a week of outdoor activities, creative games, art-making and just hanging together. We build this week around you. So leave any negative pressures behind, bring your ideas and come have fun in an inclusive community that values all that you are.

Neuro-Diverse Camp

July 1-5, 8-12 and August 26-30

Naramata Centre is excited to partner with Watermelon Sessions to offer Neurodiverse families a place to bring their children.

While parents relax and explore nature and wineries, Watermelon Sessions will be taking care of their kiddos by providing fun activities.

The camp will run for 5 days, 4 hours each day where kids will learn to bake bread, go on off-site excursions like an alpaca farm, and celebrate the week with a party at the beach.

We are very excited to see everyone making new friends, learning new skills and exploring.

Shoulder Season
Children’s Programming

We are excited to partner with our local municipality - Regional District of Okanagan-Similkameen (RDOS) - to be able to offer children’s programming during the first and last weeks of summer. Available for children ages 6-10, this program offers themed games and activities each day from 9 am to noon. Daily registration is required.

Connect Spiritually

Community Life includes plenty of opportunities for spiritual connection. From inspiring morning music to sacred pause, on-site worship and spiritual guided discussions, there are plenty of ways to deepen your spiritual practice - or develop one!

  • Take some time to pause and reflect as you nourish your spirit and practice daily gratitude in this instructor-led spiritual exercise.

  • Join the drop-in sessions on Navigating Life with Spiritual Collaborator Dan Hines, or gather for sunset contemplations almost every day and share in the soulful experiences.

  • We are grateful for learnings from local indigenous leaders. Weekly “Learning on the Land” sessions offer teachings about local plants, animals and landforms. Indigenous storytelling is also incorporated into the Children and Youth Programs.

  • Wild Church is our attempt to return to the natural world to find connection with God, Source, Creator, whatever you name that which is bigger than we are. We invite you to join us on a pilgrimage into wilder space in the area for a time of activity-based reflection.

Community Favourites

Yoga

Every day in the summer we offer Wake Up Flow Yoga and Flow Yin Yoga/ Evening Restorative Yoga. Join us on the Chapel lawn to experience the soothing benefits of yoga.

Community Gatherings

Join the Welcome Circle on your first morning, take part in weekly refreshments on the lawn, attend morning meditation and morning music and close the week with a community potluck and gratitude circle. This is where friendships are forged.

Intergenerational Activities

Every week we have a guided all-ages community activity that combines intergenerational connections with arts and crafts.

Morning Music

This is a beloved Naramata Centre tradition - start your morning with music at Creekside Commons - you’ll be singing along in no time!

Sunset Contemplations

Find a chair on Columbia lawn and end the day with quiet thoughts and conversations.

Weekly Concert

Stake out your favourite spot on Columbia lawn and enjoy a live musical performance by one of our many weekly summer music leaders.
