Mornings come slow. Evenings come slower.
The hours don't quite work the way they do back home. The lake is up before you are. Coffee takes longer. A walk to the chapel turns into a long conversation. Here is what an ordinary day tends to feel like.
First light on the lake
The path down to the beach is still cool. The water is glass. A few quiet swimmers. A heron. Maybe a friend with a thermos.
Coffee on the porch
Back to the cottage. Sun coming through the trees. The kettle. The first slow conversation of the day, the kind that turns into the second.
A walk through the gardens
Through the sacred garden archway, past the orchard, around the labyrinth. A pause near the chapel. Not going anywhere in particular, and that turns out to be the point.
A long lunch
Sandwiches at the cottage, or shared meal at the dining hall during a summer week. Either way, food tastes better here, and you stay at the table longer than you meant to.
Lake afternoon
Warm rocks, a swim, a paddleboard, a book that you might or might not finish. Children doing the things children do at lakes. Time stretching out.
A quieter chapel
Evening light through the chapel windows. Music sometimes. Stillness always. Even people who weren't planning to come in find themselves sitting for a minute longer than they expected.
The last gold light
Back to the porch, or back to the dock. Sun going down behind the hills. Tomorrow already feels easier, and you haven't even started thinking about it yet.
Pick the room and we'll show you in.
Indoor accommodations make up most of what people book here. Each option has a different feel, from full retro cottages to private rooms close to the beach. Tap a name to see inside.
The part people keep longing for.
Yes, people come for a cottage, a suite, or a campsite. But what draws them back year after year is harder to name at first.
The Chapel
The chapel gives the whole property a sense of stillness. It is a place for worship, music, weddings, memorials, prayer, and reflection.
It is also a place for the small moments of quiet that seem to find people when they were not looking for them. People who were not planning to go inside, do. People who only meant to stay for a minute, stay longer.
The Labyrinth
The labyrinth is its own kind of welcome. A slow walk, a steadying breath, a prayer, a letting go. Not every part of a stay needs to be scheduled or explained.
Some things are meant to be walked through. People come back from the labyrinth a little softer than they left.
The Gardens
The gardens, porches, orchard edges, and footpaths soften the whole stay. Morning coffee tastes better here. Time stretches out. Conversations continue.
Even the walk from one building to another becomes part of the experience.
The Beach
The beach is where the day opens up. Bare feet on warm stones. Children in the water. Sun on the lake. The last gold light of evening.
People mean to visit for a few minutes. They keep finding themselves coming back.

Bringing a group? This is the place.
Reunions, retreats, staff gatherings, faith communities, and family weeks have all found their way here. We have the space, the kitchens, the meeting rooms, and the lake.
Come back when the light turns softer.
After the height of summer, the grounds grow quieter. The lake is still here, the paths are still waiting, and the whole place takes on that shoulder-season beauty people remember long after they have gone home.
