Every dollar you paid is on file for you as a refundable balance, and it can do one of three things: come back to you, carry into next summer, or become a gift. One short form is the official record of your choice, and it matters that you complete it even if you have already written or spoken to us; it is what connects your decision to your exact registration. Anything unused by August 31, 2027 is returned to you.
Please reply by Tuesday, September 1, the same date for claiming your 2027 unit. About three minutes; the form shows you only your own questions.
Nearly all of you have already told us you cancelled. One step remains.
Your cancellation is done. Everything you paid is on file as a refundable balance on your registration, available to use toward next summer until August 31, 2027, and anything unused by that date is returned to you. On the form, tell us your choice: keep your balance on file for 2027, refund all or a portion of it, or donate some or all of it. Choosing a portion of anything? The form asks how much, in whatever way is easiest, a dollar figure, a percentage, or simply "half", and we confirm the exact amount with you before anything is processed. Your programming balance is its own separate choice inside.
One question cannot wait: are you still coming?
Your room or campsite is ready for you if you want it, and either answer is completely fine. Neither affects your 2027 unit.
Yes, we are still coming: it will be quiet, it will be smoky, and the lake, the kitchens, and all of us will be here. Check DriveBC before you travel: Highway 97 is closed between Peachland and Penticton, and Naramata Road is open. No, please release our room: we cancel your booking, your balance goes on file for your choice, and your room goes to an evacuated family.
Our promise: we will never cancel your room just because you missed the form. A person will call you before anything changes.
Registered for both weeks, a Summer Weekend, or programming only? The same form covers you. Its first question asks which registration you had, and it shows you only your own questions.
Summer 2027: no waiting online, no opening-hour scramble
Last winter, people sat at their computers at opening hour competing for rooms. Not you, not next year. Tell us on the form by September 1 that you would like the unit you had this year held for the matching 2027 week, and it is held. No deposit, nothing to pay, and nothing to do with what you decide about your balance. We hold it until 30 days before regular registration opens; once the 2027 dates and programming are confirmed, we contact you first, before registration opens to anyone else, and that is when you confirm your unit and add family, friends, and program registrations.
Dates are not confirmed yet, and we are looking at moving these weeks earlier in the summer. We will tell this list before we tell anyone else.
Forty five of our neighbours, evacuated from Summerland, are staying at the Centre tonight, and more are asking. Every room released through this page becomes a bed for a family that needs one, usually the same day. If you know a household under evacuation order: wildfire evacuee resources.
Questions we have actually been asked
I already emailed or phoned about my booking. Do I still need the form?
Yes, please, and this one matters. The form is the one official record that connects your choice to your exact registration. Whatever you have told us by email or phone, two minutes on the form makes it real, protects you, and lets us process everything without guesswork.
What exactly is a balance on file?
Every dollar you paid, held on your own registration, in your name. It can be refunded to your original payment method, used toward your 2027 stay, or donated. It stays refundable until you actually confirm a new booking with it, and anything unused by August 31, 2027 is returned to you.
Can I donate part of my balance rather than all of it?
Yes, absolutely. A partial gift is welcome, with a tax receipt for the amount you give and the rest refunded or kept on file as you choose. Choose donate on the form and we will contact you to confirm the exact amount before anything is finalized.
How do I keep my unit for 2027?
Tell us on the form by September 1 that you want it held. That is the one step. No deposit, no payment, and your answer about the balance does not affect it. We hold your unit until 30 days before regular registration opens, contact you first once dates are confirmed, and you confirm and add your people and programs then.
If I take a full refund, can I still keep my 2027 unit?
Yes. The hold and the balance are completely separate. Take every dollar back and ask us to hold your unit, and both happen.
I am booked for Week 6 and still want to come. Can I?
Yes, and welcome. Your room is exactly as you booked it. There is no programming, the air is poor, and the Centre is quieter than an August usually is. The kitchens, the grounds, the labyrinth, and the beach are all yours. Answer yes on the form so our records show it, and check DriveBC before you travel.
What if I never fill in the form?
Your balance stays on file, refundable, and anything unresolved on August 31, 2027 is returned to you. If you have an active Week 6 room, we will never cancel it over a missed form: we will remind you, and then a person will call. But please use the form; it is the official record, and every early answer is one our full August team can settle properly.
When does my refund arrive?
After your form comes back, we verify it against your registration, process it, and email confirmation when it is complete. Refunds go to your original payment method or methods, so if you paid on more than one card or date it may arrive as more than one transaction. Please never send card details by email or form; we do not need them.
We were booked for both weeks
One form covers both, and you can choose differently for each week. The two weeks are never merged into one amount.
Why did you cancel when Naramata is not evacuated?
Naramata Centre is under no evacuation alert or order, and Naramata Road is open. We cancelled because the air has held at high risk in weeks built on singing, because Highway 97 remains closed and more than half our guests drive in from Alberta, and because our neighbours evacuated from Summerland need the beds.
