Play. Rest. Belonging.
Join us for a Summer Session filled with play and rest, creativity and connection, familiar comfort and new discovery.
Across Children at Play, Youth Club, and Teen Connection, participants are guided by caring leaders through a rich blend of creative play, expressive arts, inclusive games, simple spiritual practices, music, outdoor adventures, and community-building experiences.
Participants are invited to co-create their week, while being supported through imaginative, nurturing programming that honours curiosity and joy — so they leave feeling seen, heard, connected, and reminded that they matter.
Children and Youth at Naramata Centre
Kids and teens are not just along for the ride — they are part of the community.
Mornings begin together with an all-ages welcome (often with singing). After that, registered children and youth head off with their leaders for age-specific programming.
Your weekly schedule (shared on arrival) includes the exact flow for your week.
Children & Youth Programs: ages 5 to 17
Childminding: ages 2 to 4
Childminding is offered during a portion of the morning while caregivers attend a registered adult program.
$225 per child or youth per week (ages 5 to 17)
$175 per child per week for optional childminding (ages 2 to 4)
Spaces are limited.
Children and youth programs are rooted in the Centre’s purpose, spiritual identity, and core values of collaboration, diversity, reverence, integrity, and resilience. Leaders create welcoming spaces where young people can explore connection to self, others, the natural world, and the sacred.

A Day in the Life at Naramata
After the opening time, registered children and youth head off with their peers and leaders. Mornings include story-based play, expressive arts, inclusive games, simple spiritual practices, Indigenous learning, and community-building experiences that honour curiosity, creativity, and belonging.
Midday is for reconnecting with caregivers and sharing lunch. Afternoons invite your own rhythm — beach time, inventing games, reading, making art, hiking, biking, or resting in the shade.
In the early evening, the wider community comes together again for all-ages activities. Some weeks include later teen gatherings, thoughtfully facilitated by program leaders.
Safe, nurturing, play-based care offered during a portion of the morning while a parent or legal guardian participates in a registered adult morning program.
Sensory play, music and movement, outdoor exploration, stories, imaginative play, and creative art — held in a steady, kind rhythm with a calm transition back to caregivers.
Exact drop-off and pick-up windows are shared in your weekly schedule.
- Families sign children and youth in and out each day with program leaders.
- Only the adults listed on the registration form may pick up a child or youth.
- For childminding, toddlers must be signed in and out by a parent or legal guardian each day with the childminding team.
Please share allergies, medical needs, sensory considerations, mobility needs, and support strategies during registration so leaders can plan well.
If your child is unwell, please keep them with you and do not bring them to the program. If a child becomes sick during the morning, we will contact the caregiver listed on the registration form for pickup.
- Ratios are generally 1:7 for under 12 and 1:10 for ages 12+, adapted to the group.
- A parent or guardian must be onsite or reachable by cellphone during program hours.
- Regular head counts and safety checks when moving between spaces.
- Leaders hold current Criminal Record Checks and are trained in emergency procedures.
- First aid kit on hand; at least one leader holds First Aid + CPR certification.
We are committed to creating programs where all children and youth feel seen, respected, and safe. Leaders use inclusive, accessible language that extends welcome without making assumptions about gender identity, family system, beliefs, relational behaviours, or other expressions of identity.
